What is this site?

This site is intended for game developers who want to contact each other to colaborate in independent projects. You can contact people specifically from your city, your country, or anywhere around the world if you are willing to work long-distance. When you place a 'request' looking for people, you need to think first why they would want to take part in this project. Are you going to pay them? Give them a share if there are incomes? Give them the chance to express themselves with his/her own ideas? It doesn't have to be one or the other: you can, for instance, pay them just a few bucks, at the same time give them the chance to learn something (if they are unexperienced), and on top of that, to be part of a cool project. Who could resist that?
These are the possible motivations to be stated in the 'request':

money: how much the supporter should be attracted by the money being directly paid to them (payment is garanteed by announcer) |

profit: how much the person should be attracted by share on the income this game produces (payment not garanteed by announcer) |

learn: in what measure the person should be attracted by how much he/she can learn from people on the project, or the project itself |

creative participation: how much should the person be attracted by the allowance of his ideas in the project (in the story, design, art, music or whatever) |

"love of the art": in what measure the person should be attracted by the game itself; making a cool project come to life |

other: other motivarions not included in the previous ones |

Who is this site for? And who isn't it for?

It's for developers (programmers, artists, game desigenrs, etc) who look forward to working together in independent projects. Whatever their reasons and for whichever kind of game. It's not meant to be for companies who are looking for stable personnel, or for software projects that are not game-related. Uploading requests of those kinds could end in a ban. |

Is this for free?

It's totally free. Payments to developers are not made through this site for the moment. So, if you join people from other cities in a project, you'll have to use some money service like Paypal. By the way, you can donate to help maintaining this site and keeping it free from ads. |
